About the Author

     Michael Rauch is a concerned parent of a 9-year old girl.  Presently pursuing a Master of Science degree in Information Technology with a specialization in Information Security.  Michael has watched the Internet grow from the early days as a research collaboration tool between universities and governent agencies to the global social phenomana brought about by the introduction of the Hyper Text Transfer Protocol (HTTP) and Hyper Text Markup Language (HTML).

     Coursework in graduate school guided his interest in Internet Security and concern for the welfare of children led him to develop this site.  Michael may continue on to pursue a PhD in Information Security and continue research into the methods families can use to protect themselves from the dangers of being connected to an online world.
